Designed by Barber & Osgerby, U-Type reconsiders the office chair through clarity, comfort and reduction.
A continuous aluminium structure defines the chair’s identity while integrating movement, ergonomics and support into a calm architectural form. Balancing technical performance with a softer domestic sensibility. The defining gesture of U-Type is its continuous die-cast aluminium frame. The concealed synchronised mechanism adapts naturally to the user, supporting movement throughout the working day.
