A&O Antwerp
2026
For A&O Shearman’s offices in Brussels and Antwerp, Casper Schwarz Architects developed a workplace where hospitality, privacy and flexibility come together. Rather than following a conventional desk-based model, the interiors are shaped around a varied sequence of settings that support meeting, collaboration, focus and informal exchange throughout the day.
At the centre of both offices, the grand café acts as a social hub, combining dining, lounge and informal work areas in a space that can shift naturally from lunch to spontaneous meetings or individual work. Around it, breakout areas, private dining rooms and quieter workspaces create different atmospheres for client conversations, team gatherings or moments of concentration.
Kettal’s M Pavilion forms part of this flexible workplace landscape, creating architectural settings for a range of uses — from conference rooms and enclosed meetings to more informal communal spaces for coworking, gathering, resting or connecting throughout the day. Its presence helps define different zones within the office while maintaining a sense of openness, comfort and continuity.
The result is a workplace defined by choice rather than fixed functions: a contemporary legal environment that combines the comfort of hospitality with the privacy, adaptability and clarity required for modern work.
